Franks Speakeasy, located in Mount Edgecombe, Durban, is an example of a restaurant crafting it their own way. Originally operating as a fine dining restaurant, Franks owners soon realised that diners were looking for a more relaxed environment to eat uncomplicated, yet delicious food.

 

They soon revamped their menu and their restaurant and Franks Speakeasy has become renowned for crafting stunning pub grub. The restaurant takes its food seriously: a simple burger is turned into a craft experience with a homemade, organic beef patty, mature cheddar and homemade onion rings. An ordinary chicken pizza is made extraordinary with the addition of coriander, crushed poppadums and deboned chicken (marinated for four days).
