Tender pork belly with an irresistible glossy sheen served with wilted pak choi, mashed potatoes, or steamed coconut rice.

  1. Method

    1. To par-boil, bring water to a boil in a saucepan. Put the pork into the saucepan and boil for 20 min. Discard the hot water and rinse the pork with cold water.
    2. Place pork belly, Knorr Professional Soya Sauce, Knorr Professional Spare Rib Marinade & Basting, white wine vinegar and star anise in the saucepan and add water to just cover the meat.
    3. Bring to a boil, then lower heat to a simmer, cover with a lid, and simmer for about 60 min, stirring occasionally. Turn to high heat, take the cover off and let liquid reduce and thicken.
    4. Turn and mix the pork to make sure the meat is covered evenly. (You should end up with a thick, glistening sauce that covers the tender pork belly.)
    5. Serve with wilted pak choi, mashed potatoes, or steamed coconut rice.
