South African-inspired! A savoury blend of smooth pap and spicy chakalaka loaded with green peppers, carrots, cabbage, tomato-Cajun spices, baked beans, and chillies. Layered in muffin cups and topped with melted cheese.

Preparation

  1. Method

    1. In a pot, heat the sunflower oil and fry the onions until soft and browned. 
    2. Add the garlic, Robertsons Rajah Medium curry powder and cook for 2 min. 
    3. Add the green pepper, carrots, cabbage, Knorr Professional Tomato Pronto and Robertsons Cajun Spice, and simmer for 10 min. 
    4. Add the baked beans and chopped chillies, and simmer for 2 min. 
    5. Grease a muffin pan/line with muffin cups, fill a quarter with the pap, followed by the chakalaka, then another layer of pap and lastly the cheese. Repeat for the process until all the muffin cups are filled. 
    6. Bake for 10 min to gratinate the cheese, remove from the oven and serve.
  2. Chef's Tip

    1. The Pap Tert can also be made in a large tray and cut into portions when catering for large groups.
