Delicious balls of dough/ corn dumplings with the traditional Mzansi flavour from Knorr Aromat Original served beyond delicious cheese. This is bound to become a customer favourite!

Preparation

  1. Method:

    1. In a bowl, mix together the cake flour, instant yeast, sugar, Knorr Aromat Original and Knorr Professional White Sauce Base powder.
    2. Add the corn kernels and the water, and knead the dough until smooth (might need to add extra flour to bring the dough together).
    3. Add the cheese and knead together.
    4. Place in a bowl, cover with clingwrap, and allow to prove for 30 min (double in size).
    5. Knock down the dough and roll into balls/dumplings and divide into a greased muffin pan.
    6. In a pot, bring the water to a boil and place the muffin pan on top of a bowl. Cover the pot with a lid, or tightly with foil, and cook for 2 hours until the dumplings are cooked.
    7. Remove from the heat and set aside.
  2. Chef's Note:

    This recipe will make 12 dumplings or 2 loaves.
