Tahini Yogurt Sauce

  • Yogurt, coconut or Greek 250.0 ml
  • Tahini (sesame paste) 30.0 ml
  • Lemon zest 15.0 ml
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • Milk 80.0 ml

Tofu pieces marinated to perfection and grilled until lightly charred and crispy. Serve fresh off the grill with tahini yoghurt sauce and warm pita. Add a side of tomato cucumber salad, fresh leafy salad or couscous.

Preparation

  1. Method

    1. Press the tofu for at least 30 min to remove excess moisture. 
    2. In a bowl, whisk together olive oil, lemon juice, garlic, maple syrup, spices, Robertsons Lemon & Herb Seasoning and Robertsons Smoked Paprika. Cut the tofu into thick slices and place in a shallow container. Pour over the marinade and make sure the tofu is evenly coated. Marinate in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour, up to overnight. 
    3. Pre-heat the oiled grill to medium-high heat. 
    4. Place directly on the grill or griddle pan. Cook for 1-2 min on each side, until lightly charred and crispy. 
    5. Serve fresh off the grill with tahini yogurt sauce, warm pita and a tomato cucumber salad if desired. 
  2. Tahini Yogurt Sauce

    1. Whisk all ingredients well and drizzle over the tofu.
