It was a day of culinary history in the making! The Future Menus Chef of the Year 2024 cook-off kicked off with a bang in Durban on 28 May 2024!

THE HEAT WAS ON, THE KNIVES WERE SHARP, AND THE COMPETITION WAS FIERCE!

The competition unfolded in the early morning, where 6 top Chefs battled it out for the champion title. With just 2 hours on the clock, our Chefs put their ultimate skills to the test, crafting both a main dish and a dessert inspired by one of two key 2024 trends - Low-Waste Menus or Modernised Comfort Food.

Armed with a mystery box of ingredients, fresh produce, and Unilever Food Solutions products, our Chefs showcased incredible creativity, remarkable skills, and exciting flavours, demonstrating true craftsmanship!
