About: Durban certainly is one of the friendliest cities in South Africa. With no airs and graces, The George in Umhlanga is no exception when it comes to the friendly spirit of Durban. Did someone order a round of smiles? The George has been around for 24 years, with a large focus on their pub status, serving predominantly Robertsons Winery wines, as well as cocktails. For the last 3 – 4 years, they’ve done a little soul food searching, working on their food offering. Their meals are fantastic, and are made from scratch – from the pie filling, right down to the pie pastry. You can even build a board, selecting different items to snack on – from ribs, jalapeño poppers, chicken wings, chips and more!
